42mm stainless steel case, in-house Baumatic COSC Certified Chronometer movement, see through sapphire crystal blue dial, stainless steel bracelet.
Driven by the prestigious Baumatic in-house caliber, the Riviera 10616 is the all-road Swiss watch by excellence. Its transparent blue sapphire dial, its interchangeable metal bracelet and open case-back complete the sporty look of this "Swiss-Made" timepiece.
Created in 1973, the Riviera watch returns to revive the spirit of a distinguished watchmaking era. Here it is in 2021, still authentic: a poised sized steel case, a dodecagonal bezel equipped with four screws, a “Swiss Made" self-winding movement, and a built-in interchangeable steel bracelet. The original design is still there, but so is the desire to adapt to our times.
Some watches stand the test of time. The Riviera is one of those. When it was launched in 1973, Baume & Mercier chose to present a powerful, unique, different and distinctive watch. At a time when the watchmaking industry could afford to do almost anything, the Riviera broke with traditional codes.
-THE ICONIC TWELVE-SIDED BEZEL WITH FOUR SCREWS
Known for its twelve-sided bezel reflecting the twelve hours displayed on its dial, this unique watch left an impression. Here it is in 2021, still authentic: a generously sized steel case, a dodecagonal bezel equipped with four screws, “Swiss Made" self-winding and quartz movements, and built-in interchangeable straps in steel or supple materials.
-A CAPTIVATING SEE-THROUGH SAPPHIRE DIAL ON THE BAUMATIC
The BAUMATIC Riviera is available with a smoky blue decorated sapphire dial on a built-in steel strap, or with a smoky gray decorated sapphire dial on a supple black strap. The transparency of its opaque dials provides an opportunity to admire the moving gear trains of the BAUMATIC, as if time had no hold over this watch.
-AN ULTIMATE INTERPRETATION OF THE RIVIERA WITH BAUMATIC
Finally, the Riviera also docks at the marina to showcase a luxury version equipped with the in-house BAUMATIC caliber, which has been known and acclaimed for several years, particularly through its success with the Clifton collection.
-A built-in interchangeable straps in steel or supple materials
The new Riviera also feature the ingenious Fast Strap interchangeability system developed by Baume & Mercier, so the flexible or steel bracelet can be changed in just a few seconds. Simple and straightforward. The rubber strap is available in various colours (black, blue, green, azure blue, white and mauve) so you can match the Riviera to your mood.
-About the Movement
The self-winding Baumatic movement ensures optimal reliability. In addition to 120 hours (5 days) of autonomy, Clifton Baumatic watches offer great chronometric precision (–4/+6 seconds per day for the COSC-certified models). They resist to the main magnetic fields of daily life. These models only require maintenance service once every seven years rather than three to five years recommended for a traditional watch. Any high watchmaking aficionado will appreciate these remarkable achievements.
